Theo Cormier is a french guitarist, arranger and composer. He has worked as a sideman for various artists including  the french songwriter Elias Dris, "Rising star of american folk music in France" according to the magazine "Les Inrockuptibles".  They have been touring all over France for four years.


Theo provided educational content for Guitar Part Magazine and Guitare Extreme Magazine between 2018 and 2021.


He is also a teacher and provides masterclasses.


He is now a Dunlop/MXR/Way Huge artist.

Theo Cormier was born in 1994 in Tours, France, but grew up in Paris. He began learning the guitar at the age of 15. After three years of studies at CFPM de Paris and at Music Academy International (Nancy, France), he starts teaching guitar at La Maison Des Sons, a music school located in the heart of the french capital. In 2017, he took part as a guitarist for a 47 shows tour during two months in the south of France. A tough experience that shaped the musician's mindset.

In the same time, Theo plays with Elias Dris who recorded his first album "Gold In The Ashes" (released in August 2017 on Vicious Circle label) at Tom Menig's studio in California. The duo performs in France and in neighbouring countries supporting international artists such as Peter Von Poehl, Selah Sue, Shannon Wright, Girls In Hawaii, Uriah Heep, Troy Von Balthazar, Emily Jane White,... 
The second opus - "Beatnik Or Not To Be" - is recorded at BlackBox studio (Pays de la Loire, France) during the fall of 2018. This studio sessions allowed Theo to work with the sound engineer David Odlum (Grammy Award and who has collaborated throughout his career with Steve Albini, The Frames, Sam Smith, ...); Barrie James O'Neill (Kassidy, Lana Del Rey), Raphaël Séguinier (Zazen, Cocoon, Saul Williams, Arthur H, ...); Violet Arnold (June & Lula, Refuge, ...). 
Theo played with a Simon & Garfunkel tribute band. The album recorded at the Studios de la Seine (Paris) was released by Universal Music Group. The band composed of Elias Dris, Morgane Imbeaud (Cocoon, Les Songes de Leo), Jamie Pope (Morgane Imbeaud, Les Songes de Leo), and Antoine Pinet (Sammy Decoster, H-Burns), plays regularly in Paris .

Theo also answers to spontaneous requests from musicians who ask him to record or transcribe pieces on score. This is how he took part to the projects The Last Experience, Melancholic Thoughts, Specter In Cage, and many others. 

He collaborated with Guitar Xtreme Magazine and thus produced two educational videos available on Youtube. 
In may of 2020, he is asked to contribute to the best-selling french guitar magazine "Guitar Part". Each month, he produces educational packages for the paper edition and online. 

He now works on several projects including some of his own. Indeed, he pays tribute to his masters (Beatles, Beach Boys, Radiohead, David Bowie,...) in an instrumental cover band and works on personal material in order to release an EP.
